Impressive hanging flower installations

Who doesn't love a beautiful hanging installation?  These look great over long rectangle tables, especially if the tables have a mass of candles in an assortment of cut glass or coloured vases and votive cups along their centers.  Also beautiful used in canopies for ceremonies and my favourite, using mostly foliage like ferns for a botanical style.

Wild, free form and unstructured floral design

It's just amazing how far floral design has come in the last two years.  No more simple posies of roses.  These creations are pure artwork, designed to the tiniest details with combinations of the most beautiful flowers and creative colours.  We like seeing the contrast between a really modern style with wild overflowing flowers too, it adds texture and interest.  But most of all these flowers really shine in romantic and rustic settings.

Geometric Details for Weddings

This is a huge trend sweeping the wedding industry at the moment... and we love it!  You don't need to go crazy.  Choose to have maybe your linens featuring a pattern and a few throw cushions or have one large feature wall or lighting installation.  Guaranteed to up the cool factor.

Meet the Creative Team

Kristy, Carly and Kathryn.

Kristy - Owner and Creative Director
For over six years, Kristy has been at the forefront of the wedding industry in South East Queensland. Having worked on over 100 weddings, she knows what it takes to create a memorable and beautiful event. A lover of many style aesthetics, she believes the key to exceptional design is restraint with a dash of the unexpected.
“I love things that look almost organic, natural textures but everything with a relaxed sophistication.”

Her work has been featured in numerous publications such as Hello May, Cosmopolitan Bride, Modern Weddings, Frankie, White Magazine and on online blogs Style me Pretty Australia, 100 Layer Cake, Inspired by This, Once Wed and Polka Dot Bride.

Kristy also owns floral design and calligraphy studio Cotton Blossom, and a luxury decor and rentals company called The One Day House.

Carly - Project Leader Stylist
Carly got her first taste of the events industry when she founded a week long youth music and arts festival when she was just 15. And she’s been organising parties, festivals and events ever since. Carly first met Kristy when looking for an on the day stylist for her own wedding back in 2010. She stumbled across Imbue Weddings, met with Kristy and knew instantly she’d found what she was looking for. A lasting working relationship was forged from that first meeting and following her own wedding Carly went on to work with Imbue Weddings on several weddings.
Carly launched Smashing Events in 2012. A fresh, vibrant and creative events studio. Rather than taking over, Smashing has a strong organising and consultancy focus working with clients throughout their planning process offering regular advice, support and direction on sourcing, set up, vendors, planning tips and tricks and more. Carly is an utter perfectionist and has an eye for detail.
And she is very excited to be joining forces with Imbue Weddings to deliver some truly smashing weddings.

Kathryn - Assistant Stylist
With a background in floristry, Kathryn also owns Green Willow Floral Design and has a passion for natural and free form design, with a twist of unique.
“I am not a particularly serious person, but that doesn’t mean that I won’t take the responsibility of helping you to create your vision very seriously. Because I will. And I do. What it does mean is that you may see my personality reflected in my floral designs; relaxed and free form, creative, but with an eye for detail and finishing.”
I have been lucky enough to work with Kristy and Imbue Weddings since 2012. To take the experience that I have had and extend it from flowers and setups and into styling is an opportunity that I just couldn’t resist. I love to see the styling come together on the day, and being able to help you to bring your ideas, visions, sketches and notes together and bring it to life, and knowing that I was part of the team that did it, is incredible.
