Summer Style Story - High Society Hamptons

Earlier this year we had a day of shooting our Summer Style Story.  Lucky for us the weather held out but in fact it heald out so much that I ended up bright red that night!  It was a hard days work actually, lugging all that furniture around in the sand but so much fun.  Ngg studios captured the most incredibly dreamy images.  We chose a very simple setting for the beach ceremony and kept the colour palette quite strict.
And thanks to our gorgeous model for doing such a great job!

The bouquet was a handtied posy of long stems of snowberry and clethra with a close grouping of palest blue and white hydrangea.  The banding on the stems was one of my favourite touches, with three different types of ribbon in equal lengths all french twisted.  I love the combination of blue and white stripes, linen and white.

The sweets table set up on our French Hall Table with just a few of our square dishes filled with all white lollies.  A simple tin pail is filled with lolly bags of a natural cotton with hand stamped designs sits next to a jar just filled with some snowberry sprigs.

Spring Style Story - Shabby Garden

Last year we had the pleasure of creating a styled photo shoot for spring. This is something we would like to, and were planning on, doing every season but unfortunately we have only managed to get three done so far! You can view our Winter Style Story {here} and our Summer Style Story will be up on the blog soon. We created the concept and styled the shoot using our floral designs and hire range and had a wonderful team of contributors who made it all happen. Held on the beautiful Mount Tamborine at the stunning venue The Old Church.

Stationary provided by Follow Studio and handmade soap favours available through Imbue Weddings. The cute cake and treats for the sweets table were from My Sweetopia.

For the flowers we embraced early spring and used loads of andromeda, ranunculus in all shades of pink and white and soft pink roses.

Winter bouquets with colour!

Winter flowers available in Queensland are not always boring and thanks to importing we have access to some of the most amazing blooms in stunning colours. Some imports like peonies will be very expensive but others like hyacinths and tulips are very affordable. And then there are orchids, readily available, affordable and in so many delicious colours. Our favourites right now are cymbidium orchids which come in white (pictured above right), a gorgeous pistachio green, bronze, yellow, burgundy and more. Other winter flowers for colour include poppies, snapdragons and stock all locally grown (and therefore more environmentally friendly!).
